Learning is Just the Beginning

Boys Hope Girls Hope isn't just a program to help kids learn, it provides tools for success, both at school and in life.

Founded in 1977, Boys Hope Girls Hope is a national privately funded, non-profit organization that helps academically capable and motivated children realize their full potential in life. The program's unique approach provides at-risk children with four critical ingredients for success: a stable home, opportunities, positive parental role models, and high quality education. Our residential program offers comprehensive services and support systems that nurture the scholars' self-confidence, discipline and focus to improve their academics and allow them to achieve dreams they once thought were out of reach. Boys Hope Girls Hope offers:

• A Stable Home and Family: Our residential single-family homes accommodate eight children and two live-in residential counselors. The staff is supplemented with two live-out counselors and additional administrative support. Our homes provide the children with a safe environment and a nurturing family atmosphere.
• An Education: We enroll our scholars at private elementary and high schools, where they receive a college preparatory education. We support our scholars financially and emotionally through college and beyond.
• Counseling and Support Services: Our scholars have access to counseling services, tutors and mentors in order to help them on their journeys toward success.
• Enrichment Opportunities: Boys Hope Girls Hope actively seeks people and activities to allow the scholars to explore and pursue their interests. Extracurricular activities, enrichment experiences and community service projects are continually offered as part of our program.
