Boys Hope Girls Hope isn't just a program to help kids learn, it provides tools for success, both at school and in life.
Homes: We offer valued-centered, family-style homes in residential neighborhoods. Our scholars follow a structured daily schedule that includes personal hygiene, chores, meals, school and study time, play, reflection, and community building activities.
Opportunities: Scholars are given opportunities to nurture and develop their intellectual, physical, emotional, social, and spiritual well-being so they grow into mature, healthy, and educated 'persons for others'. Boys Hope Girls Hope offers extracurricular activities, enrichment outings, community service projects, structured study times, tutoring and counseling, weekend worship, jobs, internships, and more.
Parenting: Our residential counselors offer positive parenting to our kids and participatory partnership with their families. We arrange regularly scheduled family visits, hold case conferences as needed, and any major decision-making is done with the families.
Education: One of the major goals for our scholars is that they complete a college education. To help them reach this goal, they attend quality college-preparatory schools and receive training in organization, study habits, and life skills. Our scholars currently attend St. Xavier, Roger Bacon, Purcell Marian and St. Ursula Academy High Schools. Elementary Schools include St. Bartholomew Consolidated School, St. Vivian, St. Mary's, Hyde Park, and St. Ursula Villa.
